Founded in 1987, La Puerta Productions is a professional services firm providing creative and educational content to publishers and information consumers, as well as communication support to authors, publishers, and media developers.
Our principal place of business is in Santa Monica, California on the western edge of Los Angeles, six blocks from the Pacific Ocean and within walking distance of the terminus of the new Subway to the Sea extension of the Expo line.
We publish books and multimedia under our own imprint, LaPuerta Books and Media. The LaPuerta imprint and its logo — an open door — symbolize unlimited access to knowledge, opportunity, innovation, fascination, and delight. In our support for authors and thought leaders, we help influential voices achieve worldwide platforms.
We provide outreach and support to authors who intend to self-publish on our radio show and podcast series, GetPublished! Radio.

Its companion video documentary A Sister’s Call was re-released on the same date on DVD and as streaming/download. For this title, LaPuerta has been involved in media development, print and media production, setting up distribution to bookstore and online retailers, website and blog development, publicity, and social media promotion.
